My CV

I am a graduate of University College Falmouth (UK) with a BA(Hons) in Broadcasting. I’m currently doing a MA in International Journalism at University College Falmouth, and will be BJTC accredited at the end of the year (OCTOBER 2009). Since my time studying and living in the UK, broadcasting has become my passion and obsession, spending countless hours outside university trying to learn the trade.  From the rubbles of buildings in south Lebanon to studios in England, I’ve been picking up skills in editing, lighting, camera, sound, research, archiving, and field reporting. A lot of these skills were learnt outside the classroom out on the field when I had the satisfaction of directing, producing and constructing my own documentary on Lebanon.

 

However, I have also worked along side reporters and journalists in Lebanon; this was done when I worked for Future TV studios in Beirut. This was definitely an eye opener, to see how journalists are put under pressure during trying times in this part of the world. I have also been on the LBC (Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation) training scheme, shadowing and observing the workings of an International Arab institution. I’ve had a taste of what International Journalism/ Broadcasting is all about and I’m hungry to carve out a career in the industry.
